HISTORY

Fred Anderson was a leader in his field. In 1946, not long after the end of World War II, Fred started a business manufacturing electrical switchboards and distribution boards – F.E. Anderson Electrical. The factory was located in Mortdale, NSW.

Business went well and in 1953, Fred branched out from the switchboard manufacturing business into the guttering field establishing a new company but still keeping a close eye over the electrical business. Fred passed away in 1993 leaving a huge legacy that continues to grow to this day.

In 2004, three long-time employees bought F.E. Anderson Electrical to keep the Anderson name going strong in the electrical switchboard manufacturing industry.

Duncan Craik, who has been with F.E. Anderson since 1968, Philip Duke, who has been with the company since 1977 and Andrew Juhart who joined the business straight out of his apprenticeship in 1994 now run the business and have maintained the integrity that was originally put into place by Fred Anderson almost 70 years ago.

TODAY

The modern day F.E. Anderson Electrical operates out of two locations due to the need for a larger factory. Duncan and Philip are located in South Hurstville and take care of the design and quoting aspect of the business. Andrew and his workers are located in the factory in Girraween and this is where your switchboards are made to the highest standards.
